Terms of Service

Effective October 16, 2026

These terms govern your use of Manifold at https://ai.ushost.org (“we”, “us”). By signing in or using Manifold you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.

1. Accounts

  • You need an account to use Manifold.
  • Keep your password or passkey secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.

2. Your content

You keep all rights to what you put into Manifold and to what it makes for you, to the extent the law allows. You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store, process, display and back up your content, and to share it where you choose to. We do not use your content to train AI models.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Manifold to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else do so;
  • harass, threaten, defame, or invade the privacy of others, or collect personal information about people without a lawful basis;
  • infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights;
  • create malware, attack systems or networks, or attempt to get around security, rate limits or access controls, including those of Manifold;
  • impersonate others, or create content meant to deceive people (for example fraud or scams);
  • overload, scrape or disrupt the service, or resell or provide access to it without our permission.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules or put the service or other people at risk.

4. AI output

Manifold produces responses using AI. Output can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and may not reflect real facts, people or events. Check important information yourself, and do not rely on Manifold as a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial or other advice. You are responsible for how you use what it produces, including anything you publish or send.

5. Connected services

If you connect services such as Google, you authorise Manifold to access them as described when you connect and in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms. Manifold only reads your Google account and never changes anything in it. It never sends email on your behalf; for other email accounts it can only write drafts for you to review and send. You can disconnect at any time.

6. Sharing

When you share a chat, publish a page or invite people to a project, anyone with the link or invitation can see what you shared until you revoke it. Make sure you have the right to share it.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Manifold running and secure, but it is provided without any guarantee of availability. We may change, add or remove features, set usage limits, or pause the service for maintenance. Export anything you need to keep (Settings › Privacy & data).

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Manifold and delete your account at any time in Settings › Privacy & data. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop offering the service; where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

9. Disclaimers

Manifold is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Manifold. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for material changes we will tell you in Manifold before they take effect. If you keep using Manifold after that, the new terms apply.
